At Northcott were committed to creating safe supportive environments for our employees and the people we support. We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Injury Management Specialist to lead best-practice injury management and workplace safety initiatives across our services.
You will play a key role in ensuring our people are safe supported and able to return to work with dignity and care following injury or illness. This is an opportunity to be part of a high-performing values-driven team within one of Australias leading disability service providers.
About the RoleAs Injury Management Specialist you will:
Lead and coordinate targeted injury management rehabilitation and return-to-work (RTW) programs
Provide expert case management of complex Workers Compensation claims
Partner with service managers to advise on WHS risks incident investigations and compliance
Assist in developing and evaluating WHS policies procedures and employee wellness initiatives
Deliver training and coaching to stakeholders on best practice injury and WHS processes
Use data and insights to support continuous improvement in safety outcomes
I hold tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety Injury Management or a related field
I bring over 5 years of experience managing workers compensation claims and/or injury management consultancy
I am a current accredited Return-to-Work Coordinator
I have a strong grasp of WHS and Workers Compensation legislation and apply this knowledge to support safe and effective workplaces
I handle sensitive matters with empathy discretion and sound professional judgement
I communicate clearly coach confidently and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
I pride myself on my attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities with ease
I hold a current drivers licence and am willing to travel to regional locations when required
