Job Summary:
Marist University invites applications for the part-time position as Academic Advisement Coordinator in the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement. Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Enhancement the Academic Advisement Coordinator is responsible for providing academic support to student-athletes assisting student athletes in appropriate course registration and facilitating study hall in the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement. Will also help monitor achievement of graduation requirements assist in the development of academic and life skills programming and monitor academic performance of student athletes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree. Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should be highly motivated and dedicated to the concept of student athletes and the requirements needed for them to succeed in the academic environment.

Prior experience in an athletic academic support setting and knowledge of NCAA rules preferred.

About the Department/School:
The Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement provides advising tutoring life skills development and study support facilities to student-athletes who are members of Marists NCAA Division I athletics teams. The Center provides general information to faculty about the competition schedules of Marists teams at the faculty website and will provide notifications to faculty members for specific events. The Center will also monitor the academic progress of student-athletes throughout each semester and participate in eligibility determinations. In addition staff will provide education and programming to enhance the holistic development of student-athletes.
