Primary Objective of the Position:
This position plays a key role in supporting the integrity efficiency and compliance of HR operations. This position ensures accurate execution of core HR processes contributes to ongoing process improvements and helps maintain service excellence through HR helpdesk support and data management. Working under the guidance of HR leadership the HR Generalist supports a consistent and high-standard employee experience across the organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the execution and documentation of HR processes including background checks employee changes and records management.
- Assist in preparing documentation and organizing data for internal and external HR audits.
- Monitor and follow up on HR helpdesk requests ensuring timely resolution and that service levels are maintained.
- Track helpdesk metrics and provide regular updates or summaries to HR leadership.
- Help ensure compliance with HR policies procedures and relevant employment legislation.
- Contribute to the review and maintenance of HR documents such as SOPs forms and templates.
- Assist with the consolidation and reporting of HR data to support process reviews and improvements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with retention and privacy requirements.
- Respond to internal queries regarding HR procedures and assist in providing consistent and clear guidance.
- Provide administrative support on HR projects or initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative functions.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management; CHRP/CHRL designation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with HR systems data entry and ticketing/helpdesk platforms.
- Understanding of employment legislation and compliance practices.
- Excellent organizational tracking and follow-up skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow processes and timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities.
