Job Summary:
This Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) position requires providing inpatient hospital-based crisis management end-of-life care and support to patients and their families. The role necessitates strong clinical skills experience in a medical setting and adherence to a Monday-Friday on-site schedule.
Location: Washington District of Columbia United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Offer counseling and support related to death and dying.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress.
- Participate in case management and treatment planning.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 4 years of social work experience.
- LICSW license (specifically in DC).
- Experience in hospital-based crisis management.
- Experience with death and dying.
- Experience in a medical setting.
- On-site work availability (no remote work).
- DC license (clinical preferred).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with pediatric cancer or cancer patients in general.

- Monday-Friday schedule no weekends.
