Whats the role

Youll be at the forefront of safeguarding Westpacs tech landscape leading assurance reviews that ensure our systems and controls meet APRAs Prudential Standards and Returns. This isnt just about ticking boxes - its about uncovering insights influencing strategic decisions and helping shape how risk is managed across the Group.

Youll work closely with stakeholders from every corner of the business translating complex risks into clear actions. Based in Sydney this full-time role offers the chance to make a real impact in a space where technology regulation and strategy intersect

What do I need

Were looking for a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for tech risk. Heres whatll set you up for success:

• Deep experience in technology assurance or audit particularly across cyber security information security and business recovery risks. You understand how these risks play out in real-world systems and controls.
• Ability to interpret regulatory obligations into actionable assurance activities.
• Experience in CPS234 and CPS 910 is highly valued with experience in CPS230 ideal but not required.
• Proven ability to assess control design and effectiveness including manual and automated controls IT general controls and system interfaces - youre comfortable testing and challenging whats in place.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to craft clear insightful reports and influence stakeholders at all levels - technical and non-technical alike.
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively build trust and drive meaningful change across diverse teams and business units.
