Job Description

The Glennie School located in Toowoomba Queensland is an Anglican day and boarding school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding for students from Year 5. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs care and support offered to students as well as the commitment dedication and professionalism of its staff.

About the Role
The School is currently seeking an Academic Administration Assistant to support the team.

The Academic Administration Assistant is primarily responsible for providing a range of efficient high-level administration support to the Director of Teaching and Innovation and the Director of Operations.

The Academic Administration Assistant has a strong customer focus offering helpful friendly and approachable service to students parents and staff. The role requires the ability to use initiative resolve minor matters and refer more serious matters to appropriate members of staff. The Academic Administration Assistant works independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team and maintains systems and procedures and establishes task priorities to meet deadlines and commitments. This may include revising existing systems or devising new systems as required.

This is a permanent full time term time position and an additional five weeks will be required during school holiday periods as required.

About You

  • You have strong interpersonal skills which enable harmonious and positive relationships.

  • You have strong communication organisation and time management skills.

  • Experience managing calendars including appointments meetings and events

  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • You display an excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of your work.

  • An ability to work towards the organisations goals and strategic vision.

  • Familiarity with legal obligations relating to child safety including mandatory reporting requirements.

Excellent knowledge of Google apps and Microsoft Office applications will be highly regarded.
