About the Role
Were excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Manager Quality Assurance to join and lead our quality assurance team. In this full-time leadership role you will oversee the companys quality assurance and quality control functions driving excellence in product quality and patient safety. Were seeking a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can inspire and guide the quality team to ensure full compliance with GMP/EU GMP TGO 93 and all relevant Australian regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest industry standards across all operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide operational leadership to the QA team ensuring roles and responsibilities are aligned with company goals
- Ensure the QA team effectively meet companys quality and assurance objectives and goals and effectively implement quality assurance improvements
- Ensure the company is continuously operating within PIC/S GMP standards TGO 93 and other relevant TGA requirements
- Ensure compliance with EU-GMP standards and European Pharmacopeia for export products
- Oversee all QA and QC activities including batch release deviation investigations CAPAs complaints handling and change control
- Lead and manage product recall processes risk assessments and root cause investigations manage quality assurance management system (QMS)
- Collaborate closely with internal and external key stakeholders to meet company goals and objectives
- Ensure timely and compliant release of products to the market oversee supplier qualification and raw material testing requirements
- Lead finance and commercial management cross quality assurance report against QA budget and activity
Required Skills & Competencies
- Bachelors or higher degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences Biology Chemistry or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior QA/QC or Quality Systems role within the pharmaceutical or biopharma industry
- Experience in a hands-on manufacturing and/or manufacturing management role is highly desirableeither in food or pharmaceutical industry
- At least 2 years of experience in the medical cannabis sector is highly desirable
- Proven and demonstrated leadership communication and team management skills
- Familiarity with implementing and overseeing electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS) and document control systems
- In-depth knowledge of GMP (PIC/S) TGO93 and Australian regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing audits and inspections from regulatory authorities
