Position Overview

Are you passionate about shaping the future of communities through innovative infrastructure and site design C&S Companies is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Civil & Infrastructure Design Engineer. As a key member of our civil & infrastructure engineering department you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting projects that enhance the quality of life for people in our communities.

Position Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to assist in the design and development of civil infrastructure projects including stormwater management systems and utilities.
• CAD Drafting: Utilize industry-standard Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare detailed engineering drawings plans and specifications.
• Data Analysis: Conduct site investigations and analyze data to support the engineering design process. Interpret survey reports environmental impact assessments and geotechnical investigations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project designs comply with relevant local state and federal regulations. Work closely with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Public Involvement: Participate in public meetings and engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns related to highway design projects.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects surveyors and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal state local and company standards.
• Communicate incidents accidents near misses potential hazards and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor of the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.

Skills/Education/Experience

• A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Resource Engineering or a related field
• EIT/FE is a plus with intent to pursue and obtain a PE license
• 3 - 5 years of experience in civil and infrastructure design with strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity and experience in utilizing engineering software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software is a must.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Estimated Compensation Range: $90000 - $100000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience geographical location and market conditions education/training certifications and other credentials as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
