What are we looking for
Were seeking an Senior Infrastructure Engineer with proven knowledge of K8s infrastructure to design develop and deploy our observability infrastructure as a service. This role is central to SentinelOnes ability to monitor our own solutions requiring experience in building robust solutions for data collection storage and analysis. Youll have the opportunity to own and improve critical systems enhancing our engineering teams visibility and software delivery capabilities.
What will you do
- Achieve high operational efficiency for services you own (based on Grafana Prometheus Thanos OTEL) focusing on reliability and cost-effectiveness including optimizing cloud resource utilization
- Emphasize automation to reduce the toil and pager burden.
- Enable operational visibility through Infrastructure as Code Observability and best practices.
- Design and implement robust systems and platforms that enable other SentinelOne engineers to deliver features safely quickly and reliably
- Administrate tools like Grafana Prometheus Thanos/Mimir/Cortex OTEL...
- Work on both Kubernetes clusters (EKS GKE) and cloud resources (AWS GCP)
- Troubleshooting and Technical Issue Resolution: Swiftly identifying and resolving complex technical issues to maintain system integrity and performance
- Review the work of other team members and provide constructive feedback following S1 standards
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Working across different teams to strategically shape system requirements and ensure that the platform meets the needs of various stakeholders
- Be accountable for features from the requirements refinement phase to successful production deployment
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production readiness
What skills and knowledge should you bring
- 7 years of experience in IT
- Familiarity and willingness to learn experience with observability solutions
- Solid experience in infrastructure design and cloud architecture.
- Solid experience in site reliability for SaaS products at scale.
- Solid experience with Grafana Prometheus Thanos/Mimir/Cortex OTEL and/or similar
- Experience with orchestration systems like Kubernetes using Helm Kustomize etc.
- Familiarity with on-prem and air-gapped deployments on Kubernetes.
- Multi-cloud experience with expertise in at least one AWS/GCP platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment automation tools (Github Actions etc.).
- Familiarity with deployment strategies like blue-green rolling deploys canary deploys etc.
- Experience in a mainstream language with expertise in GoLang (or expertise in any other major programming language and willingness to learn and use GoLang).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform ANSIBLE)
