RN Nursing Supervisor Pediatric (Permanent Role) Location: Temple TX 76502
Shift: 8-hr Variable Shift
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive pediatric patient care.
- Assess and evaluate nursing practices; implement evidence-based practices and research findings to improve patient outcomes.
- Cultivate a supportive and caring work environment to enhance patient satisfaction and staff morale.
- Provide professional development opportunities and mentorship for nursing staff.
- Manage and allocate nursing resources efficiently to ensure safety and quality in the healthcare environment.
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Key Success Factors: - Strong knowledge of nursing standards pediatric care and patient safety procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to mentor lead and engage staff.
- Proficient in developing and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
- Basic proficiency in computer systems and medical software applications (e.g. EHR scheduling charting tools).
- Leadership capabilities with a focus on team-building and process improvement.
Qualifications: - Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (required)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (pediatrics)
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License Texas state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
