Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will support the development refinement and reporting of organizational capacity and demand models. This role is pivotal in enabling balanced program portfolio planning by ensuring that project demand is realistically aligned with available organizational capacity across multiple business divisions and functions. The position is for an eight-month term with the option to extend.
Location: Regina Saskatchewan Canada
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide capacity and demand models.
- Analyze and validate resource forecasts and utilization trends.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Program Sponsors.
- Integrate capacity considerations into portfolio planning processes.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations through dashboards and executive summaries.
- Support the governance framework by ensuring timely reporting and escalations.
- Partner with Finance and HR to align resourcing assumptions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting tools and reporting processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on capacity and demand planning.
- Support scenario modeling for what-if planning.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 5 years as a Business Analyst.
- Direct experience with capacity planning and resource forecasting.
- Proven success in developing and interpreting demand models.
- Experience analyzing data across diverse departments.
- Strong experience with Excel (advanced) Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in the insurance financial services or regulated industries.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall project environments.
- Understanding of organizational design principles.
- Familiarity with project portfolio management tools.
Special Considerations:
- Services would be carried out in-person at the Regina head office ideally but open to some level of hybrid arrangement.
