Job Description

In this role you will oversee the plant equipment and measurement device calibration tracking and resulting actions to assure adequate calibration and use of equipment.  

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Support the achievement of quality objectives according to internal and external customer expectations.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement activities and training measures.
  • Participate in audits (first second and third party audits) as auditee for the metrology system.
  • Participate as internal auditor for internal audits.
  • Conduct Measurement Analysis Studies according to the required frequency.
  • Enter all the relevant information regarding calibrated equipment into the relevant Gage track database.
  • You are expected to maintain accurate records of performance indicators and regularly review them to identify trends or areas of concern.
  • Ensure that all requirements are updated and accurately reflected in quality management systems. Review the requirements with relevant teams and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Take the necessary actions in case of non-conformities (inform relevant production personnel.
  • Apply non-conformance procedure.
  • Maintain master calibration equipment according to the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard.
  • Maintain the physical condition of master equipment and the metrology laboratory to a high standard.
  • Identify the status of all measuring inspection and testing equipment (to be calibrated or process aid).
  • Allocate identification numbers and label accordingly.
  • Execute the calibration of the subject equipment where internal master calibration equipment can be used.
  • Re-call equipment for periodic calibration.
  • Ensure plant compliance to IATF legal customer and internal requirements as required in his / her area of responsibility.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support the corrective actions following the audits.
  • Ensure LPA audits performed within area of responsibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to maintain/improve area of responsibility.
  • Perform thorough investigations of quality issues using tools and methods to identify the root cause. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve the issue and communicate findings to device owners.
  • In case of quality incident ensure immediate containment actions are taken.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address ongoing quality challenges.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all quality-related documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and ensure the quality department budget is appropriately met in his / her area of responsibility (metrology).
  • Liaise with external providers regarding the calibration of the complex equipment.
  • Maintain the data base.
  • Utilize the system to identify equipment for periodic calibration.
  • Obtain the necessary certificates from external suppliers and maintain the filing system.
  • Support analysis of quality relevant processes in case of quality deviations in cooperation with production and process.
  • Support scrap reduction efforts & reduction in customer complaints.
  • Support activities in structured problem solving activity in case of incidents implement corrective actions.
  • Problem Solving: Show initiative in addressing quality challenges focusing on long-term solutions rather than quick fixes.
  • Must be involved in the RICP Process (Equipment necessary for rework as well as upgrades to existing equipment).
  • Must be involved in new Technology Material Equipment and Process changes

 


Qualifications :

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Manufacturing experience in a quality assurance environment
  • Comprehensive experience in rubber and plastic production manufacturing processes
  • Any certification in problem-solving to meet IATF standards.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Six Sigma black belt certification.
  • IATF 16949: 2016 (International Automotive Task Force) Supplier Auditor Certification.
  • APQP Process Flow PFMEA Control Plan PPAP  MSA Variable-Gage R&R Process Capability.
  • ISO 17025 is an advantage
