Job OverviewThe Public Relations & Communications Specialist is responsible for telling the story of the Middleborough Public Schools through dynamic engaging and accurate communication across a variety of platforms. This position will develop manage and implement strategic communication efforts that inform engage and promote the school district its programs staff students and ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications public relations and digital media production and must be a highly motivated team player who thrives in both structured and fast-paced environmentsQualifications and Responsibilities1)Develop and implement a district-wide communications strategy aligned with the mission and goals of Middleborough Public Schools.2)Promote district initiatives achievements programs and events through compelling written photographic and video content.3)Maintain and monitor all district social media channels and ensure timely and consistent posting across platforms.4)Collaborate with district and school leadership to publicize school events academic programs student and staff achievements and emergency communications.5)Ensure alignment with Middleborough Public Schools branding messaging and visual identity guidelines.6)Capture studio-quality video and photo content for district events programs and promotions.7)Produce and edit videos for both immediate release and long-term promotional use.8)Live stream school events public forums and other key district gatherings.9)Archive and organize video and photographic content for future reference and use.10)Operate and troubleshoot a variety of audio/video equipment including cameras microphones switchers and lighting.11)Provide audiovisual support for districtwide presentations meetings and special events.12)Assist in programming and managing content for Middleborough Educational Television and the district website.
