Taboola the worlds largest content recommendation platform is hiring a ExperiencedBackend Engineer for the Taboola Newsgroup.
What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis
- Develop one of the largest real time big data operation in the world to support over 140TB of new data every day
- Have end to end ownership: Design build ship measure and maintain our products for the biggest OEMs in the world.
- Work in a mini-startup environment where you are involved in every aspect of the product development lifecycle from design to implementation testing deployment KPI measurements and product iterations.
- Work on Taboola News products such as: Content Recommendation Personalization and much more which influence the experience of millions of users worldwide.

Java Kafka Hadoop Cassandra Vertica MySQL HDFS BigQuery Docker Kubernetes Prometheus Grafana Airflow Spark Redis
What are the skills a good Senior Backend Engineer needs to have
- 3 years programming experience in Java or equivalent Object-Oriented language (preferably Java Spring)
- BSc in computer science or equivalent
- Experience developing large scale distributed systems
- Experience working in a Big Data environment and/or A/B testing concepts.
- Deep understanding and strong Computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented design data structures applications programming and multithreading programming
