Summary
The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring all assets are maintained within all service schedules requirements and all works are to be carried out within a timely safe and professional manner to meeting and exceeding the customers expectations. All Employees in Mobile Water Solutions are fully committed to the organisations Environmental and Social Impact goals.
The Maintenance Engineer UK reports to the Maintenance Manager UK.
Job Responsibilities
Asset Management:
Maintain the maintenance schedules and ensure the mobile fleet & regeneration station is in a state of readiness and in an operable condition.
Check the fleet in and out and ensure that units are operable and ready for action.
Assist in management of asset roadworthiness.
Ensure that units kept at the depot are secure and in a fit condition for storage and freeze protected.
Mobilisation:
Ensure that Mobile Water Solutions equipment is delivered to site in a timely manner with suitably trained personnel to hook up and commission and customers site is ready to accept a mobile unit and if not to put in place the requirements to make a unit operational.
Ensure the compliance of all relevant paperwork including method statements and risk assessments.
Ensure that the unit runs according to requirements for the duration of the hire.
Ensure the required service visits are made during the contract.
Ensure that demobilisation is managed in a timely manner and that the customers site is left in the condition the customer expects.
Service Management
Ensure the support required from operations team and identify the personnel required to support the Mobile Water Solutions business.
Ensure that the chosen personnel are provided with the appropriate training and are competent to perform the tasks required.
Monitor the service provided and ensuring that it meets the customers needs.
Procurement
Identify all consumables and enable equipment required for projects and fleet maintenance.
Ensure that all procurement is run through the appropriate systems and maintain adequate stocks of essential spares and consumables.
Health & Safety
Ensure all assets are kept in a safe condition including fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
Develop risk assessments for the deployment of mobile assets.
Write H&S plans for projects including enabling works mobilisation and demobilisation.
Assist in ensuring training is provided and records are maintained.
Assist in ensuring that sub-contractors are H&S approved and operate according to plans.
QA
Assist in developing systems and procedures for the delivery and project management of all Mobile Water Solutions projects.
Assist in providing adequate auditing particularly of on-site activities.

Job Requirements
Mechanical and Electrical training to a minimum of Part II. Technical (vocational) school diploma and/or equivalent experience in the water treatment or related industry.
Proven experience in maintenance engineering preferably in the field of water treatment or a related industry.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components.
Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment
A Full driving license is required to fulfil this role and a fork truck license would be desirable.
Job Location
This role is a depot based at Meir Stoke-on-Trent. Occasional travel may be required to meet the business requirements.
