Position Purpose:

The Senior Manager Media Strategies oversees all planning and budgeting aspects of traditional and digital media and is a key part of driving our corporate media strategy. This role is the public face for the broader Integrated Media/Online Marketing Team and is thus responsible for working with the category brand marketing and merchandising teams to create media plans that achieve specific business goals by utilizing industry/customer trends and past media results. This Sr. Manager role requires someone who is detailed a very strong communicator and someone who can manage large amounts of data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 30% Partner with marketing category/brand teams to develop media recommendations that support key business goals and objectives.
  • 20% Develop and maintain strong relationships with other critical partners such as broader marketing merchants
  • and other cross-functional teams (creative social finance Consumer Insights CRM PR etc.)
  • 20% Evaluate media performance and incorporate learnings into current and future planning
  • 15% Invest in learning about new and emerging media trends/opportunities that will help drive our business and create competitive advantage
  • 15% Macro-level Budget management

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This position reports to GC Director of Marketing
  • This position has up to 4 Direct Reports

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advertising media agency planning/buying experience
  • Previous client-side media planning experience
  • Previous management experience
  • Ecommerce advertising experience
  • Masters degree

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelors degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
