  • Address: Stowupland Suffolk IP14 4BQ
  • Salary: 24414 - 25185 pro rata (actual salary 17578 - 18133 per annum)
  • Hours: 31.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm); 39 weeks per year
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2026

We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic person to support children across the whole school. You must be able to support the class teacher in addition to working with individuals and small groups of children. Through doing this you will assist children withtheir learning enabling them to achievethe work set by the class teacher and deliver intervention and support programmes. Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as support and training will be put in place.

Freeman Community Primary School is a successful happy caring community of 197 children in the village of Stowupland near Stowmarket. We are part of the Childrens Endeavour Trust as one of eight primary schools across the Stowmarket and Ipswich areas. The Childrens Endeavour Trust allows for opportunities to network with colleagues in different schools to support professional development for all staff across the trust.

  • has high expectations of childrens behaviour and achievements
  • possesses good literacy and numeracy skills (at leastGCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
  • demonstrates a high regard for safeguarding procedures
  • demonstrates initiative and the ability to communicate well with teaching staff pupils and parents.
