New London Local Schoolsis seeking a qualified and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and behavioral needs of students ensuring that each child receives the personalized attention and interventions necessary for their success. This position will collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to implement effective strategies that promote positive educational outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized intervention plans for students with diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers to modify and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students.
Conduct assessments to identify students strengths and challenges and use data to inform instructional decisions.
Provide direct instruction and support in various academic areas including reading writing math and other relevant subjects.
Monitor and track student progress adjusting interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with parents guardians and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies for students both at school and at home.
Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in intervention strategies for diverse learners.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of intervention and special education.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree considered).
Valid Ohioteaching certification in PreK - 12 Mile/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive preferred but will accept PreK - 3 certification.
Proven experience working with diverse learners including students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
Strong understanding of various intervention strategies and the ability to apply them effectively in the classroom.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with teachers parents and support staff.
Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional decisions.
Patience flexibility and a positive attitude toward working with students of varying abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
Knowledge of and adherence to all relevant laws regulations and policies related to special education.
