You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJoin a leading international company with over 40 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of aerostructures and engine components for major OEMs. Our client is looking to hire Composite Materials Engineers for its team in Portugal. These roles are key to the development of a new technical center for composite engineering at their facility in Vila Nova de Gaia from which the implementation and advancement of critical technologies for aircraft engine component manufacturing will be led.
Definition development and implementation of industrial processes using composite materials (RTM dry fiber prepregs).
Preparation of technical documentation for production and inspection.
Support to the plant in resolving manufacturing issues.
Management of non-conformities and coordination with internal technical departments.
Active participation in technology transfer from other units of the group (Spain).
Technical contribution to bids and new product development projects.
Leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical interface with international clients and other technological centers within the group.
Degree in Aerospace Industrial Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Non-degree candidates with solid technical experience in composites will also be considered.
Minimum of 46 years of experience in composite processes ideally in the aerospace sector.
Auxiliary processes: machining inspection (CMM ultrasound) painting.
Materials: fibers resins adhesives cores prepregs.
CAD/CAM tools: Catia V5 or Siemens NX.
Process and material simulation software.
Technologies: RTM prepregs dry fiber.
Advanced English: essential (language used to communicate with clients).
Upper intermediate Spanish: essential (facilitates technical knowledge transfer).
