Job Description
RN Cardiovascular Operating Room (Permanent Role)
Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
- Clinical Judgment:
Conduct accurate assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on prioritized patient and family needs. Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly. - Clinical Inquiry:
Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Promote evidence-based care through active learning and research engagement. - Caring Practices:
Foster a safe supportive and therapeutic environment for patients families and staff. Address physical and emotional needs to promote healing. - Response to Diversity:
Deliver culturally competent care by incorporating patients and families beliefs backgrounds and values into the plan of care. - Advocacy and Moral Agency:
Uphold patient rights and dignity while facilitating ethical and informed decision-making in care delivery. - Facilitation of Learning:
Educate patients families and staff throughout the care continuum. Assess learning needs and document outcomes. - Partnership:
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately. Foster open communication and mutual respect among team members. - Systems Thinking:
Optimize resource use and promote efficient safe and high-quality care. Solve problems using available tools and systems. - Professionalism:
Engage in lifelong learning professional development and governance activities. Mentor peers and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and general computer systems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and nursing excellence
- Knowledge of medications dosages and adverse reactions
- Understanding of privacy rights and nursing ethics
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse (RN) .
- 1 year of experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- CVOR experience highly preferred
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current or obtained within 30 days of hire
