Early Childhood Intervention Specialist

As an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist you will support families with infants and toddlers from birth up to three years old with developmental delays and disabilities. You will provide direct services in the natural learning environment that include specialized skills training and service coordination/case management. Child & Family Services believes that parenting is a very important role and that every parent/caregiver can be successful. As an EIS you will coach parents to learn new skills and techniques to help their children succeed while supporting healthy early relational and social emotional development. You will impact children families and the community by supporting the parent-child relationship so that positive outcomes occur and children increase their readiness for kindergarten.
Minimum qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Adaptive Physical Education Child Development Child Life Communication Disorders Family Studies Health Human Development Psychology Social Work Rehabilitative Counseling/Rehabilitation Services SociologyORSpecial Education. In lieu of the defined education listed any Bachelors Degree with a minimum of9 hours of semester course credit relevant to early childhood intervention including 3 hours of semester course credit in early childhood development or early childhood special educationORbe registered and maintained as an Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) in the State of Texas prior to 09/01/2011. Paid or non-paid experience in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) or related human services experience with children ages birth to 3 years old preferred. Spanish-speaking a plus.
Carry and lifting requirements 15-25 pounds.
