Job Description

Direct Hire

Job Title: Quality Technician III - CWI

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Status Pay Range: $30.00-$38.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Location: Minneapolis Minnesota


Position Overview:

Quality Technicians are responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Essential Job Functions:

- Set up and conduct tests on parts using specified procedures and equipment settings

- Apply testing agents and conduct visual penetrant ultrasonic and magnetic particle tests

- Interpret test results and mark parts accordingly

- Prepare detailed reports on findings

- Assist in monitoring and auditing weld procedures

- Inspect and calibrate test equipment

- Document non-destructive testing methods and results

- Collaborate with other NDT personnel and provide training as needed

- Use material handling equipment as required

- Enter job data in production tracking system

- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives

- Maintain 5S guidelines

- Communicate effectively with team members

- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

- Diploma or AAS degree in Nondestructive Testing preferred

- Certification in CWI Phased Array or Level 3 UT MT and VT

- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

- Computer literacy including MS Office applications

- Powered Industrial Vehicle Operator certification required

- Ability to use tape measure and precision measuring devices

- Basic shop math skills

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities

- Willingness to learn and advance skills

- Positive attitude in challenging work environment
