Job Summary

The job of Registrar is done for the purpose of preparing maintaining and monitoring the permanent school records of high school students; reviewing evaluating and recording course credits and grades earned; conferring with counselors administrators faculty students and parents regarding graduation requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years increasingly responsible clerical experience including at least one year in a school office with responsibility for student records.

12 months / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM / 40 hours per week

Comments and Other Information

Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in an examination process. Exam components may consist of performance test (weight: 30%) and a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (weight: 70%).

The competitive basis for this recruitment is Open/Promotional - Dual Certification. Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months.

If a candidate has taken the performance test for this San Dieguito Union High School District job title or similar job title within the past two years candidate may be able to transfer the scores to this recruitment. The exam must be sufficiently similar as determined by the Director Classified Personnel. Prior to the application deadline a request to transfer score(s) should be e-mailed to:. Transferring of exam scores does not apply to the Qualifications Appraisal Interview.

Veterans may be eligible for preference points on entrance examinations (entrance is defined as candidates who are not current employees of the District). Acopy of your DD214 must be submtted at time of application.

Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check fingerprinting physical exam including tuberculosis drug and alcohol screening and an Oath of Allegiance.

The probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service whichever is longer.
