- High school graduate
- Experience in general office work
- Accurately type 55 WPM
- Highly skilled on personal computer
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Student Services
JOB GOAL: Responsible for maintaining all data necessary to provide an accurate concise and permanent educational record for each student.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Input/update student information into e-school system.
- Assist with District-wide registration.
- Coordinate attendance related reporting with the attendance clerk.
- Perform administrative services to enroll new students and initiate necessary records.
- Perform administrative services to withdraw students and retire necessary records.
- Maintain an accurate permanent record of each students educational and performance accomplishments.
- Prepare reports relative to attendance and enrollment as required by the Pulaski County Special School District and the State Department of Education.
- Process all requests for student transcripts and correspondence pertaining to permanent records.
- Assist in monitoring daily entry of attendance at the school zone for the hub.
- Communicate with the guidance counselor guidance secretary and elementary registrar/secretary to ensure that academic data is reported accurately.
- Forward student permanent file to assigned school.
- Coordinate student check-in with local schools.
- Receive in-coming telephone calls regarding student records and enrollment.
- Attend meetings relative to the performance of the duties of the job.
- Know Board of Education policies Desegregation Plan district and school guidelines and regulations and adhere to same.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 3- Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($12.04 - $21.32/hr depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 220 days per school year 8 hours per day
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
