A Day in the Life

As the Partner Modernization Rebate Chargebacks & Tracings Americas Product Owner you will play a pivotal role in the Pricing & Contracting Value Delivery leadership team. Your work will directly align with Medtronics mission to alleviate pain restore health and extend life. This position focuses on leading a multi-year effort to modernize and re-platform legacy pricing and contracting systems while driving the adoption and continuous improvement of the Vistex platform.

This position focuses on leading a multi-year effort to modernize and re-platform legacy pricing and contracting systems while driving the adoption and continuous improvement of the Vistex platform.

A Day in the Life

In this role you will lead youll collaborate with functional leaders enterprise commercial teams and operating units to influence decision-making and accelerate business value delivery. Key responsibilities include:

System Re-platforming & Risk Mitigation

  • Oversee the phased execution of system modernization to ensure stability scalability and enhanced user experience.
  • Mitigate obsolescence risks by transitioning from legacy systems with minimal disruptions.

Product Ownership & Agile Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end development of product solutions including process improvement technology implementation change management and adoption.
  • Drive an Agile Pod focused on technology delivery while fostering an Agile mindset within the team.
  • Cultivate an Agile Team culture focused on shared goals and iterative improvements.
  • Manage interdependencies and swiftly resolve risks.

Strategic Leadership & Value Delivery

  • Product Ownership:Oversee processes technology and adoption to automate end-to-end contract performance management.
  • Solution Adoption:Ensure the product delivers promised outcomes and drives business value after each feature release.
  • KPIs:Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial impact and operational efficiency.
  • Decision Authority:Empowered to make prioritization and trade-off decisions maintain budget accountability and define KPIs for financial impact and operational efficiency.
  • Foster collaboration: with enterprise stakeholders regional teams and process leaders.

Collaboration & Change Management

  • Champion change management initiatives to ensure stakeholder understanding buy-in and adoption of new systems processes and roles.
  • Partner with Process Value Stream Leaders to align technology with automation goals.
  • Act as a liaison among vendors Agile teams Value Stream Leaders and regional deployment teams to ensure seamless governance and alignment.
  • Build and participate in cross-regional product owner communities to foster knowledge sharing and technology convergence.

Must Haves

  • Business acumen in the uses of rebates chargebacks and distributor tracings.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing ERP and pricing software such as Vistex and Vendavo.
  • Proficiency in Agile Development principles and experience managing Agile Pods.
  • Proven track record in driving organizational change and managing large-scale IT system modernization projects.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to craft messaging across diverse stakeholders including business leaders commercial teams pricing & contracting teams finance marketing and IT.

Job Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent for degrees earned outside the U.S. per 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including 7 years of managerial experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and 7 years of managerial experience.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio Word Excel PowerPoint) Teams SharePoint Smartsheet or other planning applications.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$139200.00 - $208800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
