WCMH (NBC4) / / NBC4 Columbus is looking for a dynamic outgoing Host/Producer and Influencer for our weekday lifestyle show Daytime Columbus! Imagine your future in Columbus Ohio! Nexstar Media Group is Americas largest local television and media company operating 197 full power stations News Nation and CW TV networks and an exploding digital media operation.
The Daytime Columbus Producer/Host is responsible for co-producing and co-hosting a week-day live program and fostering a dynamic engaging presence on the stations digital platforms including social media and CTV.
- Provide compelling on-camera contributions to daily television show and digital platforms.
- Interview Daytime Columbus show guests/clients both in studio and on location.
- Assist in producing daily 1-hour live lifestyle shows along with additional shows and or segments that may air outside the programs regular weekday schedule.
- Research topics for show topics and develop questions for guests.
- Attend daily show meetings.
- Work closely with operations and sales teams to integrate and schedule sponsored client segments.
- Build relationships with guests clients community members celebrities and show contributors.
- Support the sales team by helping with presentations and participating in client meetings.
- Participating in events either station sponsored or others to promote the show and station.
- Develop and share engaging content on stations social media platforms.
- Foster a strong relationship with followers through social media with direct interaction and community engagement.
- Maintain Daytime Columbus social media accounts and assist with all online content.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelors degree in film photography television news or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience as host or on-air personality highly valued.
- Must have strong editorial judgment.
- Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram TikTok YouTube and others.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and podcasting are a plus.
- Should exhibit a positive outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport easily.
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines.
- Must be energetic positive and great in a team environment.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in driving engagement and promoting content across social media platforms.
- Must be able to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
