Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Lean Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to bolster our continuous improvement initiatives at the Cores and Casting Schenectady Manufacturing facility. Were seeking a proactive solution-oriented and outcome-focused professional to lead the charge in implementing our lean strategies and align them with our business objectives. Your primary focus will be streamlining product and process flows improving Safety Quality Delivery and Cost all while fostering direct collaboration with our operations teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety quality on-time delivery and cost.
  • Analyze and resolve issues identify root causes and implement process flow improvements.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with production and salary employees to achieve goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for Kaizen and Lean Action Work-out events.
  • Support the execution of the lean roadmap strategy and oversee implementation.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including set-up reduction workplace organization standardized work process flow improvements visual management and inventory reduction.
  • Manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience).
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 additional years in a production manufacturing role responsible for driving process improvements

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to develop and motivate high-involvement teams committed to meeting customer and organization demands.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification or equivalent quality certification (Preferred).
  • Lean knowledge (Preferred)
  • A natural inclination to foster Lean continuous improvement and embrace limitless innovation while challenging the status quo.
  • An ability for building strong relationships with the operations team resolving conflicts and consistently achieving optimal outcomes all while maintaining equilibrium within teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing management disciplines including production and inventory control quality management systems and standard cost systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing policies regulations customer requirements and budgeting concepts.
  • A change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

The base pay range for this position is 74800.00 - 93500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety offactors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% 130% of salary in certain areas.
