Primary Objectives
The Employment Specialist is a key line-level position responsible for assisting in the recruitment selection hiring and on-boarding processes for the PCI Employment Team. Additional responsibilities include various compliance efforts communication and talent attraction programming and facilitation of our new hire orientation. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. PCI Employees are expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs and departmental objectives as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Works with the various departments and hiring managers to understand the talent acquisition process and their responsibilities in those processes.
  • Informs applicants of employment procedures and job openings including job duties and responsibilities salary ranges and other related information.
  • Accepts and processes employment applications while ensuring timely and appropriate communications to applicants and hiring manager.
  • Reviews and screens employment applications ensures applications are dispositioned correctly in a timely manner.
  • Serves as the point of contact for all applicants prior to hire date.
  • Coordinates and administers applicable pre-employment computer and/or knowledge skills and abilities exams.
  • Coordinates with hiring manager to schedule applicants for interviews.
  • Ensures all necessary pre-employment paperwork is completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Verifies applicants work history education and training job skills and other qualifications required of the position.
  • Assists with the scheduling of required pre-employment drug testing and processes results in timely and complaint manner.
  • Assists in maintaining complete and accurate job files personnel files and Drug-Free Workplace files.
  • Responds to routine questions from applicants employees and hiring managers.
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.
Job Requirements
  • Must have one of the following:
    • a. Associates Degree with two (2) years of experience in confidential setting.
    • b. Four (4) years of related employment experience in a confidential setting and/or combination of education and employment experience equivalent to four (4) years
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • Must possess SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Certification or successfully obtain within the first (1) year of employment.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours as needed.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Must possess a valid state drivers license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training leadership development and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

  • Must have a working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a Windows environment with various software programs such as Word Excel etc.

  • Must be people oriented and relate well to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish workload priorities handle multi-tasks and balance diverse projects.

  • Open and honest communicator and follows policies and procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The starting pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.
