Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS):

BPSS security clearance is required for this role (TWI is willing to apply if not already obtained).

Note:

For the first month in post of this role. You will be required to be in the office 5 days a week. After which you will be able to utilise our hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Description of role:

TWI seeks an experienced Principal Commercial Officer to join our active involved and motivated Commercial Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and commercially aware Commercial Officer to oversee manage and deliver commercial contracts across various technology sections within the organisation. Candidates must be fluent in both spoken and written English. In addition the successful applicant will be expected to take ownership for the full project lifecycle from Client enquiries negotiations of terms and conditions manage and mitigate project risks invoicing through to delivery and project completion activities. Prior experience in managing contracts is essential and you must demonstrate exceptional communication skills be able to work under pressure to deadlines and successfully prioritise high volume of assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being the point of contact for your project(s) for any contractual information and agreements including obtaining and providing legal advice.
  • Being responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposal and bid submissions in accordance with governance and policies.
  • Leading the review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial/legal agreements with TWI clients (Members) gaining acceptance and agreement on commercial/legal issues and amendments.
  • Reviewing calls for tender and bids to highlight potential commercial/contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Advising on commercial terms including: milestone delivery and payment planning.
  • Ensure that all legal documents are signed in appropriate time frames communicating directly with our clients legal and procurement teams.
  • Assist project change requests and agree contract amendments and implementing these in accordance with change governance procedures.
  • Performing financial management of commercial contracts (invoicing auditing support);
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing Members focusing on collaboration.
  • Observing compliance with legal regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Undertaking day-to-day administration and maintenance of the company systems.
