As a Record to Report (R2R) Accountant at IFS you will be a key member of the finance team supporting the accuracy timeliness and integrity of the financial closing and reporting processes. This role provides a strong platform for developing core accounting reconciliation and analytical skills within a dynamic fast-paced global business.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & General Ledger Activities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly quarterly and year-end close processes in compliance with group timelines and IFRS standards
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals provisions and payroll-related entries with proper supporting documentation
- Perform general ledger reviews and ensure integrity of trial balances for assigned legal entities
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of mismatches
- Maintain compliance with IFRS 9 15 and 16 standards
Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Financial Controls*
- Ensure balance sheet is reconciled on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Analyze account variances and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Maintain documentation in line with internal controls and audit requirements
- Assist with the preparation and review of provisions for employee-related costs
Cashflow Forecasting
- Cashflow Forecasting
- Cashflow actual v forecast variance analysis
Regulatory Compliance & Tax Support
- Support preparation and validation of tax-related entries and ensure proper period recognition of tax liabilities.
- Preparation of statutory filings
- Ensure financial records adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements
Audit & Reporting
- Responsible and collaborate with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial and accounting requirements
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the Finance Manager with reporting and analysis required for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field; CPA PICPA IFRS or equivalent qualification preferred
- Experience in accounting or audit preferably in a Record to Report or audit or tax focused role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including use of advanced functions for financial analysis
- Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
