Were on the hunt for our next passionate Financial Counselor who will change lives one budget at a time! In this empowering role youll be the go-to guide helping participants build financial confidence master money management bounce back from financial challenges and create a blueprint for lasting wealth. This individual will champion the belief that knowledge is power and financial freedom is for everyone.
The Awesome Things Youll Do
- Provideindividualized one-on-one financial counseling and coaching to clients
- Facilitatefinancial empowerment workshops on various financial literacy topics.
- Responsible for making appropriate referrals and integrating other wraparound supports
(i.e. benefits tax preparation student financial aid) into counseling to
achieve greater results - Protectclient privacy in compliance with contract requirements
- Conduct financial health assessments with clients
- Analyze client needs and develop individual financial action plans with each client
- Track progress of program participants through measuring several indicators.
- Ensure attainment of all contractual financial counseling outcomes
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to ensure communication of updates regarding
any changes affecting their finances
Our Must Haves
- finance or other related field
- Minimum of two years of full-time work experience in Economics Financial
Literacy Human services or Business. - Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with little supervision
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented person preferred
- Mustbe a team player with good work ethic
- Passion for helping low-income young adults meet their financial goals
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demands
