First-Line Manufacturing Operations Analysts Manager (Assembly Advisement) Level K

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First-Line Manufacturing Operations Analysts Manager (Assembly Advisement) - Level K to support the BPS Team in Salt Lake City Utah.

We are seeking a first-line leader who can help us achieve the next level of efficiency and LEAN manufacturing using our Boeing Production System (BPS) tools and methods. This First Line Leader will work with our production operations and production support teams to streamline and improve our internal processes to reduce costs and improve quality and delivery. Our factory environment involves manufacturing high-precision complex aircraft parts and assemblies that supply production lines as well as coordinating and communicating information between different manufacturing and manufacturing support teams. Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing advanced technical processes and working with teams and employees using their knowledge and leadership to resolve production concerns and/or to execute process improvements
  • Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of teams and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
  • Manages develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience working in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1 years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 1 years of experience in achieving planned business goals and objectives and improvement activities utilizing one Boeing Production System (BPS) or Lean Manufacturing principles and processes
  • Strong communication collaboration and negotiation skills are required to succeed in this position as well as presentation and facilitation skills to work with cross-functional groups in establishing and achieving common goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience with Boeing systems such as SAT CMES REDARS Boeing Problem Solving Method (BPSM) and Rapid Systematic Problem Solving (RSPS) method & Worklife
  • 1 years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools
  • 1 years of experience with Boeing manufacturing processes metal and/or composite
  • Knowledge and experience with Employee Involvement Teams (EIT)
  • Prior Line Side Control Center (LSCC) and Shipside Action Tracker (SAT) experience
  • Understanding of Boeing Production System (BPS) process and principles including TAKT-TIME production
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering with an emphasis on LEAN tools and processes
