Job Description

Associate Director Event Marketing

As a senior leader within the Global Event Marketing team the Associate Director plays a key role in planning and delivering high-impact events including industry tradeshows conferences and branded engagements supporting both Core and Solutions business lines. This role also involves contributing to strategic communications and thought leadership initiatives. The Associate Director collaborates closely with colleagues across Corporate Event Marketing Global Marketing Corporate Communications and the Sales & Relationship Management teams to ensure alignment and maximize event impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy for various event types including financial sector conferences exclusive client gatherings and internal executive or staff-focused functions.
  • Oversee end-to-end event logistics such as trade show participation client event coordination and conference planning including budgeting booth design promotional materials and staffing. Serve as the central contact for event organizers vendors and speakers.
  • Gather and analyze event performance data producing post-event reports and insights.
  • Research and suggest relevant speaking opportunities for company executives and senior leaders.
  • Administer virtual and online event platforms along with marketing automation tools that support event execution.
  • Assist the Executive Director or Director with special projects and initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all event-related communications.
  • Guide and oversee junior team members when applicable.
  • Uphold risk management practices by adhering to company procedures identifying potential issues and acting with integrity.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent practical experience

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven background in corporate event marketing and conference planning
  • Strong client service and relationship management capabilities
  • Familiarity with branding strategies marketing campaigns and lead generation
  • Comfortable working under pressure in deadline-driven environments
  • Highly organized detail-focused and capable of working independently
