IT Infrastructure Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises environments. This role is ideal for someone with 3 years of experience in a similar role who is looking to grow their expertise in Microsoft Azure Microsoft 365 endpoint security and infrastructure will work closely with senior engineers and IT teams to ensure the performance security and reliability of our systems while gaining hands-on experience with modern enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in thedeployment configuration and maintenanceof virtual environments inMicrosoft Azure including virtual machines networking and storage.
• Support themanagement and optimisation of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Act as an escalation point for the helpdesk assisting with Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical issues across infrastructure cloud and endpoint systems and collaborate with other departments such as Development and the Cyber Security team to support cross-functional initiatives.
• ProvideLevel 1 and 2 supportfor infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Assist withMicrosoft 365 administration including Exchange Online SharePoint Teams and user provisioning.
• SupportMicrosoft Intunefor device management compliance policies and application deployment.
• Assist in managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint including onboarding devices monitoring alerts and responding to incidents.
• Perform routineWindows Server maintenance both on premise and cloud including patching updates and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist withActive DirectoryandGroup Policymanagement.
• Monitor and maintainSQL Serverenvironments including backups and basic performance checks.
• Participate inbackup and disaster recoverytesting and documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation for systems configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects and upgrades.
• Contribute to the automation of routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum3 years of experiencein an IT infrastructure or system administration role.
• Experience managing Microsoft Azure including virtual machines storage and networking.
• Experience withAzure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience withMicrosoft 365 administration including Exchange Online SharePoint Teams admin centreand MicrosoftInTune.
• Basic experience withMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Working knowledge ofWindows ServerActive DirectoryGroup Policy and DNS/DHCP.
• Exposure toMicrosoft SQL Serveradministration.
• Experience ofnetworking fundamentals(TCP/IP VLANs VPNs firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• A proactive detail-oriented and collaborative approach to work
