Job Description

Accounting & Purchasing Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Highland Brewing Company is currently looking for an accounting professional to join our team.

POSITION DETAILS:
Full Time Hourly Non-exempt
Reports to: Accounting and Regulatory Coordinator
Location: Asheville NC (Hybrid-Remote Options Available)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Management-Process vendor invoices and purchase orders; Manage billing email account; Process payments; Maintain vendor files
  • Inventory Management-Issue purchases orders; Enter receipts; Reconciliation assistance
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Issue invoices and statements; Initiate EFT drafts
  • Receive and deposit checks
  • Expense Report Management: Monthly credit card expense review approval and entry
  • Financial reporting and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience & Skills:
  • One or more years prior accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles
  • Accounting software experience (we use Microsoft Dynamics GP);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Microsoft Excel); Google Docs/Sheets; Comfortable learning new software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all data entry-related tasks
  • Impeccable analytical organizational interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
Working Conditions:
  • Quiet office setting with remote work options available
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs is required.
At-Will Employment: Employment with Highland Brewing Co. may be terminated by either Highland or the employee at any time with or without cause or notice.
