Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic results-driven Group Product Manager to lead a portfolio of FMCG brands/products. The ideal candidate will drive innovation brand growth market share and profitability by developing and executing effective marketing and product strategies. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership market insight and a deep understanding of the Malaysian consumer landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Brand & Product Management
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for assigned brands/products.
- Develop and implement annual brand plans including marketing strategies ATL/BTL campaigns and pricing strategies.
- Drive product innovation renovation and go-to-market strategies.
- Portfolio Management
- Manage a team of Product/Brand Managers to ensure consistent execution of brand plans across multiple categories.
- Optimize product portfolio based on market trends performance analysis and consumer insights.
- Consumer & Market Insights
- Monitor market dynamics consumer behavior category trends and competitor activities.
- Conduct and analyze market research to identify growth opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Sales R&D Trade Marketing Supply Chain and Finance to ensure brand objectives are aligned and executed effectively.
- Collaborate with creative agencies media planners and other external partners.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Set KPIs for brand performance and marketing effectiveness.
- Track P&L market share and ROI for campaigns and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Marketing Business Administration or related field. MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 10 years of relevant experience in FMCG brand/product management including leadership of multiple brands or categories.
- Proven experience managing a team and working in cross-functional environments.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian consumer market and retail channels (modern & general trade e-commerce etc.).
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities.
- Project management and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
