Kitchen Porter - Term Time - Part Time

As a Kitchen Porter you will:

• Wash and sterilise kitchen utensils pans and equipment and carry out general kitchen cleaning duties.

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast lunch snacks and dinner in line with established menus and recipes.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in back-of-house areas including proper handling and storage of dishes and utensils.

• Follow correct food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.

• Monitor stock levels of food and kitchen supplies reporting shortages or discrepancies to the management team.

• Provide friendly efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes addressing any concerns or dietary requirements professionally.

• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures safety standards and customer service expectations.

Qualifications :

• The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working within educational catering or a similar environment.

• Possess good knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene practices.

• Be flexible with a positive can-do attitude and a strong focus on customer service.

• Be enthusiastic approachable and bring a sense of fun to the team.

• Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all tasks.

• Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with students and staff.
