Job Description
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
National Headquarters - Memphis TN
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- One to three years of experience in art direction/design creating top-quality innovative materials
- Inspires leads or participates while driving the visualization processfrom collaborative conceptualization through final production of marketing materials for Ducks Unlimited
- Must be expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator)
- Excellent knowledge of graphic development software and print specification requirements
- Experience with UX/UI design principles and proficiency in UX design software (e.g. Adobe XD Figma Sketch) to create intuitive engaging user experiences is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and/or Interactive Media
- Detail-oriented and organized with exceptional visual design skills strong layout typography and graphics standards
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of advertising and market trends
- Establishes and maintains aggressive deadlines by directing and multi-tasking under pressure
- Creates designs that translate across platforms and print/digital formats
- Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A passion for the great outdoors and the realization that you are part of a great conservation organization that makes a difference in Americas wetlands. Hunting experience (especially waterfowl hunting) is a major plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete design project development
- Responsible for active participation in brainstorming sessions and collaborating with project managers to create highly successful communication deliverables for Ducks Unlimited
- Capability to multi-task and balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Responsible for managing project quality and meeting deadlines within budget
- Responsible for the preparation of creative concepts for clients in tandem with theCreative Director
- Work with outside vendors (photographers printers developers) to obtain best pricing and sustain quality
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of graphic development software and print specification requirements
EDUCATION:
- Degree or college diploma in creative design (i.e. Graphic Design 3 to 4-year program)
TRAVEL:
- Some travel across North America for training and research on an occasional basis
