The PMLD Support Assistant will be expected to:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
Support teaching staff with behaviour management strategies
Follow curriculum plans and contribute to pupil progress and attainment
Liaise effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistent support
Assist with physical emotional and academic needs of pupils
Work flexibly within a large collaborative school setting in Barking & Dagenham
Ideal PMLD Support Assistant applicants will:
Hold a 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university
Have previous experience working with PMLD or SEND pupils
Be confident proactive and supportive in a classroom environment
Communicate effectively with pupils parents and staff
Demonstrate adaptability creativity and a strong team ethic
Be passionate about inclusive education in Barking & Dagenham
