About the Role: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting compliance and managing day-to-day financial operations. Youll enjoy a Tuesday to Friday schedule (32 hours/week) offering both structure and flexibility with no weekend work required.
What Youll Be Responsible For:
Maintain Accurate Records: Post transactions reconcile subsidiary and general ledger accounts and ensure legal and internal compliance.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices track payments and follow up on outstanding items.
Cash Flow & Budgeting: Monitor and forecast cash flow to support informed financial decisions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular reports and conduct analysis to identify trends or discrepancies.
Audit & Tax Support: Compile documentation for audits and assist with tax filings and compliance.
Inventory & Purchasing Integration: Utilize systems that support inventory tracking and purchase orders.
Policy & Procedure Support: Assist with the development of internal financial controls and bookkeeping standards.
Collaboration: Communicate with internal teams vendors and other stakeholders as needed to support accurate financial processes.
Support Team Success: Step in with general administrative or financial tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
What Were Looking For:
Education: College diploma or bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Certification: CPA designation is an asset but not required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience; experience in small business or product-based environments is preferred.
Software Proficiency: Strong skills in QuickBooks (Desktop Pro and Online) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of inventory and purchase order systems is a strong asset.
Proven ability to manage accounts perform reconciliations and produce financial reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.
Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to evolving needs or priorities.
