Job Description
International CSP with a thriving branch in Malta and authorised by the MFSA is urgently seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This well-established company specialises in providing corporate and fiduciary services to both local and international clients.
As a Tax Compliance Officer you will be working alongside a team of experienced professionals supporting the day-to-day management of tax compliance ensuring adherence to internal policies and Maltese regulations.
Salary up to 50K.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changes in local and international tax legislation
- Ensure clients remain fully compliant with Maltese tax laws and regulations
- Prepare income tax computations and returns for both individuals and corporate clients
- Handle tax refund claims shareholder registration forms and dividend warrants
- Liaise with the tax authorities on matters related to compliance
- Conduct tax research to improve current processes and identify new service opportunities
- Guide and mentor junior team members offering training and support where needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a tax or compliance role
- Strong command of English (C2 level or native proficiency)
- Hands-on experience with the Maltese Tax System
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic work environment
