Job Description:
Installing and maintaining the MSSQL database software.
Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
Setting up database user accounts.
MSSQL cloud database experience with Training users on how to access the information in the database.
Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
Creating autonomous database backups.
Regularly updating the database security protocols.
Bachelors degree in computer engineering or computer science.
Proven work experience as a Database administrator.
Familiarity with MSSQL database design coding and documentation.
Knowledge of database backup procedures recovery systems and SQL.
Knowledge of programming languages and API.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to visualize algorithmic structures.
Maintaining database dictionaries and documents Job Control Language (JCL) SQL Perl and shell scripts and batch processes;
Administering database organizations standards controls procedures and documentation;
DB2 Experience;
Reviewing project requests and determining rough order of magnitude estimate of time and cost required to accomplish scope;
Physical Database monitoring management performance tuning Database user management ((Database schemas) for Microsoft SQL Database Server); configuration and operations;
Patches and Updates;
performance and tuning (physical Databases);
Database user (Database schemas) administration and security; monitoring
Backup and restore.
planning provisioning and installations;
Database level cluster / HA / Disaster Recovery management Note: All Database are hosted in Oracle cloud hence required cloud MSSQL database knowledge required along with On-premises database knowledge.
