Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Department: IR TECH PHCMC INTERV RAD

Schedule: Day Shift 4x10-Hour (07:30 AM 5:30 PM)

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This role will support a wide range of vascular and non-vascular IR procedures including angiography embolization nephrostomy stent placements and biopsies. Candidates must have experience scrubbing circulating and setting up for complex interventional cases. A minimum of 1 year of IR Tech experience is required with flexibility to support cardiac cath lab-related duties when needed.
Responsibilities:Epic or other charting system experience required
BLS and ACLS required
Travel experience preferred but not required
Block scheduling not available
Assist in performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular genitourinary and abdominal interventions
Prepare equipment and sterile fields scrub in on cases and circulate as needed
Support procedures such as angiograms embolizations paracentesis thoracentesis liver biopsies nephrostomies and stent placements
Utilize vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias when assisting with cath lab or EP procedures
Ensure accurate patient documentation using charting systems (Epic or similar)
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and technologists to ensure patient safety and care quality
Minimum of 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience
Proficiency with both scrub and circulate responsibilities
Experience with a broad range of vascular and non-vascular IR procedures
Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias in cardiac procedures
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
Strong working knowledge of vascular closure devices
Familiarity with any hospital charting system (Epic preferred)
RTO must be submitted at the time of application
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Additional IR-specific training or certification preferred
At least 1 year of recent IR Tech experience
Experience in Cath Lab or EP lab is a plus
Active certification/license in Radiologic Technology (state-specific where required)
ARRT (R) with IR certification preferred
Abdominal/Pelvic: Aortography Mesenteric Angiogram Chemoembolization Paracentesis ERCP
Genitourinary: Nephrostomy Cystoscopy Uterine Artery Embolization Gastrostomy
Vascular: Embolization Stent Placement Inferior/Superior Vena Cavogram
Cardiac Cath/EP: Interpretation of dysrhythmias laser-assisted procedures
Scrub and sterile technique
Circulating duties and room setup
IV access and vascular closure systems (Perclose StarClose)
Imaging equipment and radiation safety protocols
Use of charting systems (Epic preferred)
