Job Title: Support Analyst

Job Overview:

The State of North Carolina is seeking an experienced support analyst to join their team. This role will provide technical support for Microsoft platforms and Active Directory environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with end users service desks and technical teams to resolve IT issues and ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support for Microsoft Active Directory and related Microsoft technologies via web-based tools
  • Collaborate with customers service desk teams and technical services
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware software and system issues
  • Perform hardware/software installations repairs maintenance and upgrades
  • Ensure timely issue resolution or escalation when required
  • Coordinate with vendors for repair services
  • Deliver end-user training when necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each support task
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with end users

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the following:
    • Active Directory support and Microsoft platform troubleshooting
    • Customer service and collaboration with IT teams
    • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
    • Hardware/software installations repairs and upgrades
    • Follow-up services or issue escalation
    • Vendor repair coordination

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Experience supporting Apple products (a plus)
  • Knowledge of ITIL Framework and IT Service Management (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Active Directory management skills
  • Familiarity with end-user computing environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks
  • Vendor management experience

Education Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or a directly related field with 2 years of technology support experience
    OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certifications
  • CompTIA A
  • ITIL Certification
