Job Description
Job Title: ETL AWS Glue Data Engineer.
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid).
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract.
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced ETL Specialist to develop maintain and optimize data pipelines using AWS Glue.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL processes and AWS Glue and demonstrate the ability to handle complex data transformation tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain ETL processes with AWS Glue to ingest transform and load data from multiple sources.
- Enhance data pipelines to ensure high performance scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with data analysts data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop suitable ETL solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure smooth operation addressing any issues promptly.
- Document ETL processes and offer training to team members as necessary.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and cloud data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an ETL Specialist or similar role with a focus on AWS Glue.
- Strong proficiency in ETL processes data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with AWS Glue including Glue Studio Glue DataBrew and Glue ETL jobs.
- Knowledge of other AWS services such as S3 Redshift Lambda and Athena.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python PySpark) and SQL is a plus.
