WHO WE ARE:
Welcome to 5 Tool Prospects a brand new 35000 square foot baseball training facility located in Chandler Arizona featuring 8 batting cages 2 clay-mound bullpens a middle infield a full gym a recovery center and an onsite school (grades 6-12. Guided by former professional players we cultivate a fierce passion for baseball while embedding values of teamwork discipline and resilience in a dynamic inclusive environment. Were more than a training facility—were a tight-knit community dedicated to mentoring young athletes both on the field and as individuals. Through community fundraising and scholarships we strive to make baseball accessible to all giving back and creating unique opportunities for our players.

POSITION:
Director of Operations
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This role is a dynamic hands-on position that engages directly with athletes staff and the community to deliver the 5 Tool Prospects experience. Youll oversee daily facility management ensure equipment and systems run smoothly and deliver exceptional customer experiences for athletes families and staff. Youll keep the facility humming creating a welcoming high-energy environment that supports our mission.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations including opening and closing the facility ensuring all areas (batting cages bullpens gym recovery center school) are clean safe and fully functional.
- Maintain and inspect equipment (batting cages pitching machines gym gear) to ensure optimal performance coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Manage scheduling for staff practices tournaments and events to maximize facility use and support competitive and developmental teams.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing athlete parent and community needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with coaches and staff to align operations with training goals community events and scholarship programs.
- Monitor inventory (e.g. baseballs training gear) and manage vendor relationships to keep supplies stocked.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure inclusive environment for all.
- Support community fundraising initiatives and scholarship programs to promote accessibility.
- Track operational metrics (e.g. facility usage customer feedback) and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
- Foster a positive high-energy culture that reflects 5 Tool Prospects values of passion teamwork and excellence.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in facility or operations management ideally in sports recreation or education settings.
- Strong organizational skills with a knack for multitasking and problem-solving under pressure.
- Passion for baseball and a commitment to supporting youth development.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with athletes parents and community members.
- Knowledge of sports facility equipment maintenance (e.g. batting cages pitching machines) is a plus.
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends to oversee practices tournaments and events.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff vendors and families.
- Self-motivated and proactive able to work independently and lead with confidence.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as inspecting equipment or setting up event spaces.
