Job Description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What youll do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical and programmatic aspects of assigned composite assembly programs.
  • Own the program schedule scope and cost performance; develop detailed project plans and track milestones.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering manufacturing supply chain and quality to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Provide technical direction and program oversight from design through delivery of composite assemblies.
  • Manage program risks issues and changes and communicate program status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet customer and regulatory requirements while balancing cost and manufacturability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes execution and cross-team collaboration.

What you need:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Materials Science Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in composite manufacturing with at least 3 years in a program or technical leadership role.
  • Strong technical understanding of composite materials fabrication methods (layup bonding autoclave/oven curing) and structural design principles.
  • Demonstrated success in managing program schedules technical scope and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience with program management tools (e.g. MS Project Smartsheets Jira) and standard office applications.
  • Expertise in advanced manufacturing tools (CAD PLM MES)
  • Strong leadership communication and cross-functional coordination skills to set direction and mentor a diverse engineering team.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic high-iteration environment balancing big-picture program goals with hands-on real-time build solutions.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge skills and experience.
