Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strong business relationships via communication presentations and following up on leads for new business.
- Regularly perform cold calls in a confident and professional manner.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with existing customers manufacturers and vendors.
- Travels to call on regular and prospective customers by visiting their facilities to secure orders.
- Develop and conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
- Computes cost factors quotes prices payment terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Tracks equipment orders sold for potential preventative maintenance service or aftermarket sales.
- Accurately measure and calculate component quantities for pallet rack and industrial shelving systems.
- Coordinate sold orders delivery times and shipping of new equipment with sales manager.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with orders placed and warranty issues.
- Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes orders new business and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.
- Consult & problem solve to enhance the Companys position in existing & target accounts.
- Implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs price schedules and discount rates.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commissioned business-to-business industrial sales experience lift truck industry experience and or industrial machinery experience is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational communication interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Able to drive and operate equipment for demonstration purposes
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Outlook required and aptitude to learn new systems related to our business.
- Analytical/mathematics skills are essential
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks
- Ability to deliver product orders to customers when its appropriate.
- Basic mechanical understanding of industrial equipment and the ability to identify by sight and by name the parts of an industry related piece of equipment and other related products.
- Must be a self-starter with good time management planning and organizational skills with commitment to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- Consistently maintain the highest standards in serving the customers needs including but not limited to handling customer issues and complaints
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by acting professionally and as a representation of the Hoj values
- Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Must have U.S. Work Authorization
- Must be able to pass background checks and random drug screenings
