JobType: Full-Time
JobDescription: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT System Administrator to join our IT team. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining upgrading and managing our software hardware and networks. The ideal candidate will ensure our IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently supporting the organizations operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain servers networks and related hardware/software.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access controls.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Maintain system documentation and IT asset inventory.
- Support disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to support end-user needs and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 3 years of experience in system administration network administration or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware Hyper-V Scale Computing) Active Directory DNS DHCP.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
Certifications such as CompTIA Server Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS).
- Scripting skills (PowerShell Bash Python).
