About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Platforms Operations Engineer you will work within the Media Delivery and Content Delivery Engineering teams to identify opportunities to innovate the use of new and emerging CDN technologies and build patterns of reuse for other Digital Product teams.
Specifically you will lead the development and automation of Digital Products Content Delivery Network (CDN) technologies including the deployment of CDN infrastructure testing and automation.
Key accountabilities
- Provide technical leadership for CDN technology consumers within Digital Product by maintaining concise documentation leading knowledge transfer across Digital Product teams in a Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) engineering environment.
- Collaborate to develop DevOps standards for CDN technologies including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) CI/CD deployment pipelines ensuring Digital Products continuing ability to deliver ABC services to our audience.
- Collaborate with the Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Operations teams to continuously improve the observability of Digital Products CDN technologies.
- Maintain detailed technical knowledge of Digital Products deployed CDN technologies including an understanding of their business usage.
- Lead the development and maintenance of technical standards and support documentation.
- Support Media Delivery and Content Delivery Engineering teams in planning and resourcing work and participate in team rituals including planning and retrospectives where required.
About You
- Significant experience leading the development of technical initiatives focused on building and deploying CDN technologies. Demonstrated significant experience establishing and promoting best practice for creating secure reliable build and deployment services.
- Demonstrated significant experience in the development of efficient and repeatable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment services for building and deploying software assisted by developing supporting documentation for processes and standards.
- Demonstrated significant experience in the development and management of cloud-based services including Amazon Web Services (AWS) based platforms developing on Linux based environments leveraging common cloud operations tools for the use of CDN technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to foster an open and creative approach both within and across teams.
- Outstanding experience providing significant technical leadership within a development team and establishing effective and strategic working relationships with other areas of the business.
